Hi Guys, this is the second demo that I will show at my Virtual Pass BR presentation , and with luck to be accepted, SQLSATURDAY 162 – Cambridge. The PowerShell module used is my PerfCounters module, that is part of the SQLPSX. In fact you need the SQLPSX to run this solution and the Luc´s Export-Xls function. |
For a complete explanation, read :
Gathering Perfmon Data with Powershell
Also I want to thanks Luc Dekens (@LucD22) for his AWESOME function Beyond Export-Csv: Export-Xls and the MS Forum , in there I found a solution for an Issue that took me some hrs.
If I told you that with a command line I gathering Performance Monitor data on multiple servers and stored to a SQL Server table (repository). After that, with a SQL Server Job I automate the procedure to export to Excel, generate graphs and send by email to me with all ready. Do you believe in me ? No ? Well, PLEASE do not care about my English, if you don’t understand something just ping me, but I did a video showing this.

Great post, I’ll definitely use this on our SQL servers.
Thanks for the mention, glad that Export-Xls function proved useful.
Being able to use community contributions is one of the positive features of PowerShell 🙂
Hey Luc first good to see the face behind Twitter Avatar hehehe. Man, I thank to you for the function and , in fact, all your posts. Definitely your blog is a source of study for me.
